Malware

Glossary

What is Malware?

Malware is a malicious software that infects your device to steal or damage data. It is usually spread through email attachments, downloading software, or websites and can be used for a variety of activities such as spying on you, stealing passwords, and holding your files hostage for ransom. Malware attacks are one of the biggest threats to cyber security and can be difficult to detect. To stay safe from malware, it’s important to keep your computer up-to-date with the latest security patches and have antivirus software installed. Additionally, only open emails from trusted sources and don’t click on any suspicious links or attachments. If you take these precautions then you can protect yourself from becoming a victim of malware.
