Trojan

Glossary

What is Trojan?

A Trojan is a type of malicious software that allows an attacker to access your system and data. It disguises itself as legitimate software, and once it’s installed on your computer, it can grant an attacker access to any information stored on the system. Trojans are commonly used in cyber-attacks to steal data or damage systems. They can be spread through infected emails, websites, downloads and applications. In order to protect yourself from the threat of Trojans, make sure you have antivirus and antimalware software installed and regularly updated. Additionally, use two-factor authentication whenever possible, avoid clicking links or downloading attachments from unknown sources, and ensure any programs you do download are legitimate. By following these precautions, you can better protect yourself against Trojans and other cyber threats.
